Classrooms

Vidyarathna College of Nursing has well furnished classrooms for conducive learning. The comfortable seating arrangements and modern design promote an engaging and productive learning environment. Additionally, our classrooms are well-maintained and cleaned regularly to ensure a clean and safe space for students. The classrooms are spacious and well ventilated as per international standards with LCD & CC cameras.
Library

Laboratories
Fundamentals of nursing lab is a patient simulator. Nursing is an art and science that needs a lot of practice. The fundamentals of a nursing lab is the practical area for the students, where they perform all nursing procedures prior to the exposure to the clinical field. The faculty uses the lab for various demonstrations of procedures in nursing. This spacious laboratory is well equipped with patient simulator, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation mannequin, life form hand simulation, etc. Mannequins in the lab for human simulation is used by faculty to teach students on how to administer care to patients. All the Mannequins are laid on the bed with appropriate pedicel equipment attached to them. Fundamental lab is designed for use as a tool for teaching psychomotor skill and cognitive and critical thinking pathway. The nursing lab offers the ability to provide simulation education to challenge and test students clinical and decision-making skills during realistic patient care scenarios. This is extremely realistic and flexible to meet multi-disciplinary education needs of the nursing students.
Hostel
All Students are expected to be residents in the hostel, which provides safe and comfortable living environment. Students staying in the hostel are under the guidance of a well qualified and experienced Warden. The hostel facility is fully equipped with CCTV security systems. Backup generators are also provided to compensate any power shortage. Heating systems are available with hot water geysers. The rooms are spacious with individual cot, study tables and chairs provided to every student. Outdoor and indoor recreational facilities are available. A variety of recreational and cultural and social events are organized. Recreational movies and video films are shown from time to time in the hostel.
Placement
Nurses do not remain unemployed .They easily get jobs in private and government run hospitals, nursing homes, orphanages, old age homes, industries, sanatorium and the armed forces. They can also seek employment in the Indian Red Cross Society and various other Institutions. Nurses can also take up administrative and teaching positions . Enterprising individuals can start their own bureaus or even work on their own terms and conditions. With the rapid growth in the population coupled with the requirement for better healthcare facilities, there is an unending demand for healthcare professionals in the country. However, the supply of healthcare professional greatly falls short of meeting this ever growing demand

PB. B.Sc Nursing – 2 years
Eligibility : Passed Diploma in GNM & Should be a Registered Nurse and Midwife
General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) – 3 Years
Eligibility : Passed in PUC/PDC/10 +2 Exams with 40% marks. (SC/ST Karnataka candidates – 35%)
M.Sc. Nursing – 2 Years
